Legacy was started under saddle at age 4 and showed great promise, but due to health challenges faced by her owners, her training was put on hold for the next four years. During that time, she was a beautiful pasture companion, enjoying life but remaining unworked. Recently, Legacy underwent a 60-day refresher course and is currently boarded at Double K Equine in Sparland, IL, where she continues her progress. Legacy has a solid temperament, a willing attitude, and a strong desire to please, making her a wonderful prospect for her next owner. With her striking appearance—described as "a Friesian on steroids"—Legacy is sure to turn heads. She is a 50% Friesian, 25% Saddlebred, and 25% Percheron, offering a rare and desirable combination of grace, athleticism, and strength. The photos below tell her story: from her charming foal pictures taken the morning of her birth to her elegant under-saddle photos captured in November 2024. Legacy is offered at $15,000 by her owners. She comes with a current Coggins test and will be registered with Friesian Heritage Horse International (FHHI). The registration process is underway and will be completed by her current owners. If you’re interested in learning more about this exceptional mare, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Legacy represents a unique opportunity to add a well-bred, striking Friesian sport horse to your herd.
